[MacDV] Compatible Storage Media (DVD)

Using a iMac G4/Combo Drive (Model Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-104) with Mac 
OS X Version 10.3.6.

I have been using Apple 4x DVD-R's (which work fine) but I am trying 
to find an alternative brand/manufacture. I've tried HP's (4x), 
Verbatim and Imation DVDs and none are compatible (DVD spins up and 
shortly ejected) . Would someone be so kind and provide me with some 
alternatives? Thank You
