No, seriously, , you can record in Soundtrack just like 
Garageband.(midi or live using some USB interface) Soundtrack seems to 
have less graphic overhead and the samples that each feature are maybe 
some different ones.
THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE is that you can load a video into soundtrack and 
score to it.
