[MacDV] QuickTime 7, H.264, etc

In the January MacWorld Keynote, Steve Jobs said QuickTime 7 would include 
H.264.

I'm wondering if "improved derivative" is the best way to express this. 
Since H.264 is a part of MPEG-4, as planned for the next generation DVDs 
and QuickTime, and since MPEG-4 includes the opportunity to incorporate and 
utilize various codecs, I don't see one as a replacement for or derivative 
of the other.
