Remember, with a boom mike, a "dead cat" cover is important also, to 
cut out that extraneous wind and outside traffic noise.
and yeah, sound man, watch the monitor so you don't have to interrupt 
the day with a re-shoot because of a mike in the frame ;-)  (Been 
there, done that)
