[MacDV] Final Cut Studio / Enhancing AD Converter

Fellow Mac Users,

I've purchased Final Cut Studio (new to it and haven't installed it yet) and 
I'm currently looking to purchase an AD converter (Canopus). Is it unnecessary 
to get a converter with enhancement ability for analog video? In other words, 
does Final Cut Studio (newest version) have analog enhancing which would make 
the extra money for a video enhancing converter (Canopus AD 300) a waste of 
money??
