[MacDV] Deartifacting method or plugin for FCP?

Hi gang,

I'm working on a music video for my friend's band.
Some of the live material's been shot on HI-8 and captured with
a rather poor capture card. Now in "postproduction", I can't really  
perform
any image operations (like levels adjustments) because that  
completely blows out the artifacts.

So I was wondering if anyone could recommend some method or perhaps a  
plugin (I know AE has MagicBullet, but MB Editors seems to lack that  
feature) that could
accomplish this?
