You could do this in iTunes or iMovie, but the way to do it is 
QuickTime Pro.
  I have preferences set so that QT opens when a CD is inserted.
I "open" the track  I need.
I  "export" to .aif 48k and stick it on the desktop  or in a designated 
folder.
Go back to FCP and import the files from the desktop.
