[MacDV] Canopus ADVC 110 with Powerbook

I am looking to purchase an ADVC 110 [1] when I saw this

"ADVC110 does not require a power supply when used with a 6-pin 
FireWire cable."

I plan to use this with a Powerbook G4 1.5Ghz, but I honestly don't 
know if it has a 4 or 6 pin Firewire.

I assume 6-pin because it can power the iPod, but thought I ought to 
make sure before buying.

Does anyone have any experience with this unit?
