[MacDV] DVD-R vs. DVD+R

Thanks to everyone for the responses. It sounds like DVD-R has most
often been compatible. Richard, I occasionally send stuff to a friend
in Sydney, so your report from Oz was very helpful.

It probably is my cheap VHS/DVD player that's the problem. As I mentioned,
it has even refused to play perfectly valid Region 0 discs. So it has a
past history of flakiness.
