Years ago I had a friend who came to work complaining of a distorted image 
and lines on his TV when he played his VHS Tape recorder. I. Jokingly, suggested 
that he lift the VCR about 2 inches off the table it was on and then drop it. 
He came in the next day and said it was now working perfectly.
