I have compiled a list of iMovie HD 6 bugs, features and fixes at:

Please send feedback to Apple if you can confirm these bugs with your setup:

iMovie 4 got one lousy bugfix and several well-known annoying old
bugs persisted. iMovie HD 5 fixed some v4 bugs and introduced some
new ones. History repeated itself and many well-known and old iMovie
HD 5 bugs were never fixed <sigh>. iMovie v1.0.2, v2.1.1 and v2.1.2
were OK but the quality of later versions has been a disappointment.

The worst iMovie HD 6.0 bug is:

- Exporting PAL DV to tape is jerky so iMovie 6.0 is worthless for
PAL users! Please prove me wrong!

The remaining issues are not SO bad:

- Some analog to DV passthrough converters don't work like they do in
iMovie 4.0.1

- iMovie HD 6.0 renders jaggy still images when sending them to tape
or iDVD. I can't believe this bug has survived through iMovie 4 to
iMovie HD 6!

- Added titles render the underlying video slightly fuzzy with PAL or 16:9 NTSC

- Exporting via the expert settings as a DV stream or .avi
deinterlaces video and loses the timestamp

- iMovie HD 6.0 deinterlaces the video and loses the timestamp when
pillarboxing or letterboxing

- Reversed Effect deinterlaces video when iMovie 4 correctly
preserves interlacing by changing field dominance

- Some transitions have interlace-related flicker or distortion

- iMovie HD 6.0 doesn't update the progress bar when importing .dv clips

- File/Export/iDVD's "Share selected clips only" option puts chapters
to the wrong places
