[MacDV] browser vs. QT Player

In terms of responsiveness of the slider, has anyone noticed a 
difference between movies playing in a browser window vs. playing in 
QuickTime player? (The movie is fully downloaded in both cases.)

There's an instructor here that swears he sees a difference, finding 
the Player a better environment for his students to scrub around to 
closely examine the movie. I can't see it myself on my system. Just 
wondering if anybody out there can confirm or deny this instructor's 
experience...
