[MacDV] final cut express and external la cie drive

What you are doing wrong is trying to capture to a USB 2 drive. Final  
Cut Express and Final Cut Pro will not write to a USB 2 drive. It is  
against the LAW in both applications.

You must write to a FW400, FW800 or External SATA drive or raid.  
Sorry. You broke the law and the law won.
