Onkyo MSE-U33HB for OS X?

I bought an Onkyo MSE-U33HB a while back, and it worked great under OS
9.
However, OS X recognizes it as a USB audio device, but apparently does
not
have any drivers that can support it.  Does such a thing exist? Also,
is a $50
version of Deck LE for OS X a reasonable way to do fairly simple
recording
under OS X, or are there any cheaper ways to do basic recording and
some
editing (like cut & paste, normalize, fade in/out, etc.)?
