[MPA] Request for recommendations

OSX is hardly in limbo. Actually it's OS9 that is in limbo as New Macs won't
boot it anymore and many companies like Adobe are no longer developing for
it.

Once you take the plunge you will not look back. The stability, True
multitasking-multithreading, interface, apps, yadayada...

I was a long time quark user and found the transition to InDesign painless.
Quark's treatment of customers has always been lame since they had a bit of
a monopoly. Sure it's scary letting go of years of application knowledge and
experience but it transfers well to indesign just like your quark files
will. You will love the illustrator/photoshop/indesign troika.

Have you seen iDVD 3? Used iSync? Keynote? Office? Aside from the laggard
Quark what could you possibly be using that keeps you mired in the lovable
kludge we know as OS9?

Come on in. The water's warm.
