What reason do you have for using a condenser mic in the first place? 
" General audio " is something of a wide mark to aim for.  If your 
going to be creating voice only podcasts  you might be better served 
with one of the dynamic mics commonly used for radio broadcasting. 
Try out an EV RE20 or a Sennheiser MD421 along with any condensers 
you wind up demoing before making your final selection.  Also mics, 
particularly dynamics remain stable for many years thus a 421 or RE20 
from Ebay could be as good a choice as brand new.  Just avoid mics 
that have been used on drum kits. LOL !
