What sort of problems do you have with 10.4.10? -- > Jonathan Since ViaVoice has not been updated in years - overtime, more and more things keep breaking as the OS is updated. One of the more noticeable things is that every time I save in SpeakPad - it disconnects the audio and ViaVoice dialog says " audio device is used by another application". then I cannot simply hit F8 to turn it on again - but I have to use a trick: I hit F8 - then use the mouse cursor to go to another application - then click back to SpeakPad - which successfully reactivates the audio. BTW: Has anyone been able to successfully use the voice on an Intel Mac? How about on an Intel Mac with leopard 10.5.2? -- Thanks - RevDave Cool @ hosting4days . com [db-lists] From ricky at notdoneliving.net Sun Mar 9 18:01:13 2008 From: ricky at notdoneliving.net (Ricky Buchanan) Date: Sun Mar 9 18:02:45 2008 Subject: [MV] Ordering Oz Issues Update Message-ID: <8DA56896-72FE-46F7-A2A7-4A2D3BC3FFC2@notdoneliving.net> I got this sorted out, and got my crossgrade ordered from the Australian distributor via dint of phoning them and being walked through the weirdly complicated process. According to their phone person, they're expecting orders to start shipping in a month or so but that's unofficial of course. r -- Ricky Buchanan * ricky@notdoneliving.net * http://notdoneliving.net/ The people of the machine not only reduce everything to mathematics, but they also leave important sums out of the equations. -- DJN From ian at iangilman.com Wed Mar 12 21:59:23 2008 From: ian at iangilman.com (Ian Gilman) Date: Wed Mar 12 22:00:23 2008 Subject: [MV] Viavoice and 10.4.11 In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: The odd but effective fix I have found for the "In use by another application" issue is to open System Preferences to the Sound panel and select the Input tab.
