[PB] Stored Pismo won't turn on

I've got a PowerBook G3/500 (Pismo) that has been sitting in a box 
for a bit over a year. I decided to try to get it running today, and 
I can't even get it to turn on. The battery that was in it shows as 
completely dead. I have a spare battery and it shows one light. I've 
got the PowerBook plugged in, and it won't turn on with either 
battery or with no battery. Any ideas, or is it a lost cause?
