It is seems a little overwhelming the first time but when that Puppy spins up and you got to put the money you saved in shipping and having someone do it. You will be thankful and happy. I have already sent it off to be repaired at a **very** reasonable rate. Unfortunately Buy.com screwed up my order (they sent an SATA drive instead of an Ultra ATA drive, which is what their own receipt shows that I ordered). Ralph Lewis (www.mac-care.com) contacted me after I posted to the list, and he has been very patient dealing with the Buy.com screwup (I didn't notice when the drive came that it was the wrong one, so I just sent it and the Powerbook to him!) I once took apart a NeXT Laser Printer and replaced the fuser, which was not a task for the weak of heart. I was able to do it, but my fingers are really not that adept. Ralph's cost was, to me, cheaper than the time and frustration it would have taken me to do it :-) (Replacing the hard drive in my MacBook was MUCH easier, that I could handle :-) TjL From maccare at gwi.net Tue Jun 19 12:37:26 2007 From: maccare at gwi.net (RALPH LEWIS) Date: Tue Jun 19 12:37:30 2007 Subject: [PB] Drive In-Reply-To: References: <68E00080-E5CD-4202-A4DE-F2F3E932BBFD@gmail.com> <0942B4FE-8E0C-466A-A3F1-5F7B6D2F989D@alaska.net> Message-ID: <5102A90F-2940-4FEF-BBED-17D47B00035C@gwi.net> Hi, any word on the HD?
