this does NOT disable the F1-F6 function key screen and sound and 
num-lock on my Ti 550 running os x.2.2  ....


i've tried MANY times...


i HATE the screen and sound default controls...

the full keyboard access functions you mention are to allow keyboard 
access to ALL functions w/out mouse...
