Nice article, though, I have yet to see the following statement become  
a reality:

battery without slowing to a crawl

On my 500MHz Ti I was able to eek out around 3.5 hours when using the  
reduced processor speed - on my 1GHz Ti I notice the battery meeter  
starts to drop immediately after disconnecting the power supply.

Odd thing, after my battery reaches 100% full charge, it then appears  
to seep juice (the value drops a few percentage points) but the plug  
icon still indicates it's connected to the power supply.   I've never  
had a battery drain while plugged in before - anyone else experience  
this?
