Generally, a user's software costs more than the hardware;
data input and maintenance costs more than software;
user training, learning, error, frustration, reinstallation etc time
costs more than even the data;
constant frustration is generally unhealthy.
There is a poem, by Les Barker, "Reinstalling Windows," painfully true for many WinTel users--

Reinstalling Windows (a few stanzas from)
Author: Les Barker
http://www.compulink.co.uk/~ackroyd/
I bought a new computer,
It cost two thousand pound;
But every time I switch it on
I keeps on falling down.
I used to think it was my friend
Now it drives me round the bend;
You'd be surprised the time
I spend Reinstalling Windows.
I switch it on; what is this?
Something wrong with config.sys;
This isn't my idea of bliss,
Reinstalling Windows.
Load disk four, oh what fun!
It says it helps you get things done;
Every day now everyone's
Reinstalling Windows.
Apple website has some information on Mac easier, better, more productive than Windows.
The www.maclaw.org site has a whole section on "Macs v PCs".
My own MacGuide site, www.macguide.com, has a series of articles on the benefits of Macs.
