Ha ha ha... I'm on the earlier one, no wonder most people look at me 
oddly when i  gripe about screen redraws, spanned-monitor division of 
VRAM, blah blah blah... but leaving out audio in, in the first place? 
that was all the way retarded.  Good thing there's MIDI, software 
sampling, and 3rd-party A/D stuff,etc.

Apple was too concerned with how to use bluetooth to start the 
microwave, check the oil, control the iPod remotely [as if that makes 
any practical sense], to remember the basics.

  "Basics" like the Finder, a System prefs that can remember stuff, a 
'truly' global alert volume setting [that can over-ride apps that 
hjave no AlertVolume control AND that remembers itself from reboot to 
reboot]...General settings ['Open New Window in Column view'] that 
actually govern 'all' folders [including MouseOver spring-loaded, and 
'Show contents of package', etc].
