Wasn't the finder already re-written in Cocoa? Thought that was 
actually in one of the 10.1.x revs, but not sure...

I actually have consistent success with the problem you describe...it 
just isn't "instant".  Prior to Jag is was quicker to restart, but my 
Jag starts are ssslllloooowwww....
