Sharing an Internet connection

Just a quick un ...

What sort of hardware would I need to share an Internet connection 
supplied by cable modem between my 550 Mhz 'Book and my housemate's 
G4 Cube? The modem is a Motorola SURFboard cable modem, and we each 
have only one ethernet port.

I take it that X.2 has an option for the sharing, so I'll have to be 
the host computer - (the Cube is still running 10.0 as Erik will be 
upgrading soon and doesn't want to purchase an upgrade till July ...)

Any thoughts?
