I favored alleys off O'Farrell, and back in the late 60s, early 70s, 
when the weathermen blew a computer farm in Sacramento, about half 
the records for parking tickets in SF County [city and county, of 
course] were destroyed, so Mayor Alioto declared an amnesty on the 
ones that were NOT destroyed... a 1500 dollar windfall for yours 
truly. :=)
