[Ti] VPC and Panther

I use VPC 5 under Panther.

The first few times I tried to "boot" VPC, it took all of the CPU, making
the machine appear to be hung, but it wasn't.

Resetting the PRAM (cmd-opt-P-R at startup) helped, but VPC 5 still takes
quite a bit of time to "boot."  Once it is up and running, it seems to be
OK.
