I'm waiting for TechToolPro (hopefully out by March or April if I remember correctly from the trade show). I have not been happy with Norton since OS8 so I'm not holding my breath for their update. I did like DiskWarrior. But I always found TechToolPro to be the most useful for me. The really good news is the built in repair utilities really are powerful. (translation: worked for me when nothing else would) The Disc Utility (in your Applications folder>Utilities>FirstAid can do everything from verify to repairing discs (drives), repair files, erase discs, partition a drive. There is also the (new to Jaguar) Repair Disc Permissions that often cleans up little problems. And don't forget the ever popular (trust me on this one) trash the preferences for the offending or ailing program (look for plists). All of these are on your harddrive and your OS startup disk. You have already paid for them! There is also the even more powerful fsck in Terminal mode for the brave of heart or skilled of Unix. It's built into the Unix underpinnings of Jaguar! Paula
