Kulick "[memeticsystems.com]" offered:

>As a long time Unix and PC user, the discovery/release dates are not

>saturate the list, curse, or moan, just said I was disappointed which is
>not unreasonable.

A lot of us have empathy with you, aaron. Cyn, if I read her
correctly, was giving you the 'party line', in other words, passing
along what she was told, she went on to empathize.

I am amazed that none of the people-in-the-knw [even the
rumor-mongers] hit this one. A lot of us were aware that Apple had
been buying tons of 17" LCDs, but everyone, as far as I know, assumed
they were set to ramp up the iMac to a 'larger' screen, and were
buying the 17s to fill future 'low-end' iMac orders. Rumors centered
on a 19" iMac.

anyway, Apple has to keep the R&D, which they've been doing,
basically, for the entire PC industry for well over a decade, under
'wraps'. The same things will be available on Dells, ....in a couple
years.
