[Ti] sleep mode

It's perfectly safe.  I do it every day, like thousands of other 
people.  Just make sure that the sleep light is on before you put the 
computer in its case; if the computer fails to go to sleep for some 
reason, it can cook itself in an enclosed area like a bag.

You might also want to make sure that the screen won't pop open (waking 
the computer) and you can avoid getting keyboard marks on the screen by 
placing something over the keyboard; cloth, paper, overhead 
transparency, kleenex...  But we don't need to get into that discussion 
again; check the archives for other people's suggestions.
