Even following your suggestion, I get:

	Welcome to Darwin!
	[localhost:~] tjh% sudo /usr/bin/redo_prebinding -root /
	Password:
	sudo: /usr/bin/redo_prebinding: command not found
	[localhost:~] tjh%

So there must be something ELSE we are not doing .....
