Hi Ron,
Check the Sound control panel in the System Preferences.  Click on the Output tab, then check to
determine if the Balance slider is set to the Left.  There is a hash mark for the middle (balance between
left and right).

I only get sound from my new 15" on the left side -- none by the power key.  Is that true for others?
