Screen damage

The screen on my Ti 550 v.2 started to display jagged lines and waves across
the screen, I tried to massage the screen gently from the back hoping that
it is a connector issue, but to no avail. It became impossible to use the
screen so now the PowerBook is just plugged into an external monitor with
the lead closed and a keyboard attached. I wonder if anyone knows how much
should it cost to replace the screen? There is no apple care on it and it is
over two years old.
