DVD+R and Superdrive

I am awaiting delivery of my 15" AlBook with SuperDrive and bought some 
blank DVD+R discs in anticipation.  Unbeknownst to me, there are so 
many different types of DVD blanks.  I know Panther is supposed to 
support burning to DVD+R (not DVD Studio Pro nor iDVD though), but I 
think this is for the Pioneer A06 mechanisms.

What would happen if I stick a blank DVD+R into my AlBook SuperDrive??  
Am I only to buy DVD-R/RWs?
