Monitor detection issues

Hi all

My TiBook 500 quit detecting external monitors when I choose ³Detect
Displays² from the monitor menu, or from the displays system preferences...

The only way I can get it to put a picture on an external display is to
restart the computer with a display attached!

This issues cropped up after I did a wipe & install of Jaguar, so I would
think that if anything, that would fix the problem....
The only thing I have done to attempt to fix it would be to zap the PRAM,
and when that didn¹t work a ³reset-all² from OF...

Anyone else have any ideas to help me fix it? (I¹m about to sell the Œbook
so I thought I should have it working before I do that...)
