the particular flaw about the ti battery losing contact is an acknowledged 
problem by apple.   there is a quick solution, which is to put a small tape tab 
on the opposite side of the battery from the contacts, where you'd force the 
battery up against the contacts with slightly more pressure, and stop the 
battery from losing contact.

the new batteries compensate for that earlier problem.
