[Ti] PowerBook going Haywire

I have owned my powerbook for the past two years now and so far I have
had an excellent experience. Lately however, my PowerBook has been
acting funny. Right now, I have four major issues that I need to
resolve:

1. Hard Drive: I can still use my hard drive but can't rely on it. I
have a bad cluster that tends to crash it every now and then. I back up
on a regular basis just in case. I will be getting a new hard drive
soon.
2. Titanium Paint: Many of you Titanium PowerBook owners face the same
problem, the chipping of the paint. It makes your beautiful PowerBook
look ugly, and a new cover case doesn't come cheap!
3. Mouse Click: The mouse button on my mouse pad stopped working, it
doesn't _press_ anymore. It started off that only the left side was
acting funny a few days ago, but seemed to work after a few minutes of
use. Now I can only use the tapping on my mouse pad to select.
4. Fan Noise: I am getting a weird noise from the fan on the right side
of my PB. The noise comes on only when all the fans are running (when
using video editing).

Are point 3 and 4 known issues? Do I need to take it to an apple store
to fix it or can it be done at home?

Cheers,

Sam
