yes - i noticed that in that discussion there was mention of someone  
who 'benchmarked' while in the two states and had a significantly  
measurable difference in performance...

there may indeed be a couple of models of power book that do not  
correctly report...

However - on my machine (867) and my friends (800) it DOES appear to  
report the correct speeds.


i ran my 867MHz benchmarks using Xbench 1.1.3...

when i next restart i will run Xbench again at the lower speed and post  
the results...
