Presently running 10.2.8

Help! Anyone know of a mail usage list?

I have been using Act (classic) for years and do not like it. I want to transfer all 1,400 contacts to OS X address book and stop using Classic Apps. Does anyone know a foolproof method? Act has very limited export formats which do not sync with Address books import formats.
