I have used DiskWarrior twice, when drives were damaged beyond what Disk Utility and the Unix-based tools could repair... it is a nice panic reducer to have something like that on hand when the problem does arise. While I have never had to use it on my Powerbook, I did use it on a connected firewire drive.
