As we all know, the paint flakes off the carbon fiber trim ring around the edge of the titanium powerbooks. And in this web page, all the pictures are of titanium powerbooks, but then there is a line which says "for aluminum powerbooks". The aluminum powerbooks do not have this painted carbon fiber trim ring, and, I believe, will not have the problem. Furthermore, I do not believe that the wrist rest (the gray area on either side of the trackpad) is an issue. My powerbook, 2 years old, is probably in the 99th percentile most used powerbooks. There was so much paint flaked off the carbon fiber ring that I finally decided to improve its appearance by scraping it *all* off. But it shows absolutely no wear at all on the wrist rest. Jerry
