[Ti] SmartReporter says my drive my fail soon?

Of and course now I've done that it's reporting SMART ok now.

Just how reliable is Smart? Both Disk Utility and SmartReporter were 
reporting
the drive as failing before.

Are there any other diagnostics I can run on this drive?
