One thing that Apple has proven of IBM: while they make great products they cannot produce them in quantities to satisfy even Apple's market share. Doesn't matter how good your product is if it is not on the shelf when your customers want to buy. And with Xbox moving ahead of Apple in IBM's service queue, there would be darn few (if any) dual core Macs available at Christmas.
