68k code runs on PowerPC.

All you'd need is an old copy of MacWrite - it'll run in Classic.   
Open the files then copy and paste them to Word.

I have an old copy of Microsoft Word 5.0 on my G5.  If you'd want to  
zip up and mail a MacWrite file to me, I can see if it will open it.   
Seems to me that Word 5.0 could open MacWrite files.
