Warranty of drives themselves seems to vary from 1 to 3 or even 5  
years, BUT if it is an OEM drive, the Apple warranty period (1 yr on  
Powerbooks) applies.

So you are OK for the moment !

If SMART is saying something, AT LEAST make sure you have good and  
frequent backups.
