[Ti] difference in way OSX shuffles desktop backgrounds

It's because you only have 8MB of video ram, and a chipset that does not 
support Quartz Extreme.  You'll notice that you don't get that cool cube 
effect with fast user switching as well.  Also, you won't get those cube 
transition effects as part of the options for iPhoto (4 and higher) 
slideshows.
