What's even better about Firewire Target Disk Mode, is that you can
copy the ENTIRE drive in a matter of hours, and not get any errors
because some file is in use (unlike ethernet). Whenever I re-do a
machine at work, I copy the entire drive, and on the copy on my
machine, I delete all the unneeded files one by one.

"Why," you might ask? Because I know that my co-workers do not always
save their files in the appropriate places. Plus, if I forget to move a
preference, I have a copy of the entire Disk to find the appropriate
preference.
