yes, another new, on-topic thread... we're on a roll all right. Both of my Powerbooks, (the Ti-667, and even moreso, the Al-1.25 15') are running extra warm these days. I live in an un-air conditioned place. (I don't recommend it). I use an elevated thing, the iCurve, but it only allows air to circulate underneath, and that's not cutting it. Last night I think I could have slow-cooked an egg on the keyboard. (forget about the underside, it was steamng hot). So, i looked on the web for air conditioners (the kind that sit in the window). I can see what's out there, but this is a small room, and I'm wondering what, if anything, someone out there uses, or knows about. what about humidity? It was awful here the last few days, and i can tough it out, but the 'Books' come first... dem's da rules. Seriously, I'm worried. I'm on a slave code-writer's salary, (a 'budget', whatever that means) so I have to be frugal, up to a point. (Effectiveness being the true bottom line, though). Thanks, brian s
