Do you need to replace the entire display assembly, or do you need to 
take apart the display to replace hinges, the LCD or cable?

While the factory service manual and other takeapart guides show how to 
replace the entire display assembly, nobody has (AFAIK) a comprehensive 
repair guide for the TiBook screen itself. My page has some info, but 
it's by no means a complete guide.
