Your 'other' Powerbook? You hadn't mentioned a first Powerbook.

'computer'? Rather generic, wouldn't you say?

If what you are asking is whether you can connect two computers to one drive via the multiple ports on the back of some drives, then the answer is 'no'. You can not hook multiple computers directly to a single drive.
